Course Objectives
English I Honors is designed to strengthen students reading writing, listening, critical thinking and speaking skills. Students will strengthen their understanding of the elements of fiction through readings in drama, poetry, short stories, and the novel. They will write for narrative analysis and research purposes, with an emphasis on literary analysis. Course content is meant to prepare students to master the FCAT and to meet the Florida State Sunshine Standards.
Advanced Communications is designed to enable students to refine communication and critical thinking skills for success in postsecondary education and employment. Students will strengthen their understanding through research, speaking, writing and presentation process, and multi-media production. Course content is meant to prepare students to master the FCAT and to meet the Florida State Sunshine Standards.
